Modernized Spaces + Seamless Connections
Great America Commons, an established office property in booming Santa Clara, needed a refresh to stay competitive in Silicon Valley. The design team transformed the café and dining areas, adding a dynamic outdoor space to foster gatherings. They revamped the flow between indoor and outdoor areas with a 40-foot folding glass wall and a steel mesh canopy, enhancing connectivity.
Inspired by the nearby Great America Amusement Park and Levi’s Stadium, the design integrates the amenities of a single-user campus with those of a multi-tenant property. The original dining space expanded by 925 square feet, now seamlessly connecting to the outdoors with unified flooring and updated finishes.
The café now resembles a trendy casual restaurant, with a refreshed palette, new lighting, and tech elements like TV monitors and LED wall panels. Signage and graphics were updated to match the new aesthetic.
Outdoor amenities include a semi-private lounge with a board-formed concrete wall and fire pit, a large media wall overlooking the dining terrace, and landscaped elements that soften the architectural edges.
