Gray Construction enlisted Nomi to help brand their rapidly expanding office in Lexington, Kentucky. Having outgrown their space on Main Street, Gray began relocating departments to neighboring and nearby buildings, resulting in a functional but de-centralized headquarters. While the initial project began as a simple screen wall to shield workstations from a public meeting area and prominent storefront, Nomi saw an opportunity to create a series of “wow moments” that would reinforce the Gray brand and unify these new office fragments along Main Street.

Using an image of their iconic headquarters building, we created a sort of visual puzzle comprised of nine tiles. The tiles function doubly as art installations and privacy walls and will ultimately be placed throughout the various buildings and spaces of the Lexington office. Distributed along the Main Street facades the tiles stitch together the fragmented spaces and reinforce Gray’s brand to the city.
