Grant Park Skate Park

The site was designed to create outdoor rooms adding an additional
room in the overall layout for Grant Park in Chicago, IL. The large pill
shaped space in the center of the site was a competitive bike racing
track that connects to the bike paths on the bordering blocks and to
bike storage in the Grant Park Skate Park.
The first floor of the skate park, toward the top of the site, is
where the indoor skate park, lockers, a pro shop and restrooms all were
located. This was intentional to make the give the building to the
skaters. This way, the vibe of the building is created by the people,
music and skating.
