Graffiti Art Gallery
"Graffiti Art Gallery" is a project created with the system for wooden modular buildings-"Modular Building Construction" and has for a purpose to explore possibilities for form's design of this unique system for modular buildings.
The Amorphous form had been considered for impossible to be created with modules , but this project shows how wrong is that assumption and that opportunities for creation of modular buildings with modern ,untraditional and free form are endless.
"Graffiti Art Gallery" as the name of the project describes is a art gallery for graffiti artists wishing to show their works to the public without disrespecting of the laws and having a chance to earn from their art. It was considered that this type of art is not for every taste, but lastly people started to accept it and understand its great varieties of styles and ways to expressions combining text and image made in different colors and using the different signature of their creators. This could be considered as the end of anonymous works and the beginning of this fascinating art.
The building consist of two volumes which go through each other ,penetrating and creating one body which consists of amazing and trilling spaces which has very long walls where artists could create their art works. The flooring and ceiling was designed with wood which added natural element in the composition and make the experience more acceptable and more refined for the audience. Over the lowest part of the building is created great space-a terrace were discussions and meetings can take place. The end of the two parts of the building are designed to end with none straight end and leave the impression for endless continuum. The levels are connected thought ramps and don't stop the mild flow of the spaces. As cover the building is used with a metal coating, which is reused and through this the end price of the building is lower. The different outlook of the coating is combined with changing as colors and as texture walls in the interior and creates felling for a whole connected body. Additional body for tickets sale and supporting rooms will be created as part of the project, leaving exposition area free from additional functions and make it place only for the works of the artists. At this way will be preserved the uniqueness of the space and unity of form and function.
The construction of this special building is made of wooden modules in which the walls and floors are gratings of wooden elements and have the great advantage of form's changing of their direction in every possible way , giving limitless opportunities to architects or designers.
These are the words of the inventor of the system "Modular Building Construction" and the driving force staying behind this unbelievable project :
"Creating buildings which only human imagination can express is a great challenge and deliver enormous satisfaction from the achieved result. Creating "Modular Building Construction" we wanted to give alternatives to modular producers and investors to get closer to the expectations and the desires of their customers and to explore new horizons for business."
