The state of complete ruin and abandonment in which the building was, left us no alternative but to assume the impossibility of recovery. Consequently, it was proposed the complete demolition of the remainder, to promote its reconstruction, restoring the building's characteristics and architectural coherence, conceived in a logic of an urban setting that would preserve the cultural and historical identity of the place.
The intervention involved the building's reconstruction, fully housing, designing new compartmentalization adjusted to the current experience and as functional as possible.
The main elevation's design sought references to the characteristic elements of the original construction as well as the place's built typology to promote full urban building integration, seeking references to its pre-existing compositional structure, with 3 structuring and symmetrical spans.
