This project focused on the design of housing within a self-selected site in the Govanhill area of Glasgow. The site is located at a corner of two main streets, as a result a series of investigations were carried out to establish a method of responding architecturally to corner, dependent on the function of the architecture. The concept for the design was to switch the existing nursery on the corner of the site with the existing business within the block. The housing proposal offers a variety of accommodation to appeal to a large amount of people. Specifically on the top floor three roof top gardens have been created to offer something that is not readily available in surrounding properties.
