ContextThe retrospective on Peter Kulka at the Deutsches Architekturmuseum Frankfurt displays the varied lines of development in his work. At the centre of the exhibition are 22 exemplary plans which, divided into thematic groups, demonstrate different aspects of his architecture.
Spatial and design concept
Around the garden courtyard the ground floor offers indoor and outdoor exhibition space in the form of a cube for the exhibition. Biographical information about Peter Kulka and his work is located in chronological form on the white outer walls. Dark-grey walls, floor and model pedestals inside the cube create a quiet space reduced to the essentials. An expressive image motif marks the entrance point to the respective project. Text, planning and image material is arranged in a pattern based on DIN relations.
Catalgue
The design of the catalogue is oriented on the idea and implementation of the exhibition. Author texts, biographical and chronological details are prefixed. This is followed by the uniform and cohesive representation of the selected project.
A monochrome coloured page presents the starting point of the respective theme.
