Design collaboration with AXIS Inc.
Exhibition that features Good Design award-winning case studies on the theme of disaster prevention.
To accurately convey the concept of “SONAERU DESIGN”, a well-equipped space with relief aids was created.
Even though products of various size and shape were lined up, the uniformly sized cardboards made the space look tidy and beautiful.
In addition, shiny craft paper made captions for each product look like packing tape.
Cardboard, which was this project icon, was designed as an exact size for fitting in necessary items for a person to survive for 72 hours.
The cardboards were handed to those who donated for devastated areas at the exhibition. In addition, they were also used to ship the products back to creators after the exhibition.
Moreover, tables and benches made of cardboards were exhibited at the space for “PAPER PARTITION SYSTEM” created by Voluntary Architect’s Network which is led by architect Shigeru Ban.
The harmony between paper core and cardboard’s color and texture created a strong sense of coherence for two exhibition spaces.
