Entertainment facilities for owner James F. Goldstein adjacent to the famed Sheats-Goldstein Residence ,1962 by John Lautner. Project program includes a rooftop infinity tennis court, private nightclub, library, home office, movie screening room, guest accommodations, dining terrace, and 100 foot long pool with spa. Original concept for tennis court was developed by John Lautner and after his passing in 1994 the project was taken over by Lautner Associate Duncan Nicholson. Nicholson Architects developed designs for the expanded program and oversaw construction on the property until 2015. Nicholson Associates Kristopher Conner and James Perry formed Conner & Perry Architects in 2015 and now oversee the construction and continue to evolve the designs with Goldstein to this day. The tennis court, night club, library, and offices are complete. Construction is currently under way on the dining terrace and pool with an estimated completion date of early 2020. The movie screening room and guest accommodations are currently in design. The entire property has been designated to be gifted to the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) to preserve its architectural legacy as an icon of Los Angeles and to give inspiration to architects and designers for future generations.
