The design concept draws inspiration from a deep love for Golden Retrievers, reflecting the heartfelt stories shared by the owner about daily routines, spatial usage, and the different life stages of the dogs—from newborn puppies to breeding adults and seniors. Understanding these aspects, along with both indoor and outdoor activities essential to their well-being, was key to shaping the architectural identity of the project.
A distinctive architectural language was developed to encapsulate the farm’s past, present, and future, while also creating a strong visual identity. The design integrates horizontal lines reminiscent of mountain silhouettes, blended with the physical characteristics of Golden Retrievers. This approach not only enhances the uniqueness of the structure but also ensures harmony with the surrounding landscape of lush gardens and rice fields. The result is an architecture that embodies the prestige and legacy of Golden Future Farm, a renowned name in the field.
One of the main challenges was achieving a distinctive architectural identity while staying within the construction budget. The design also needed to respond to the tropical climate throughout all seasons, ensuring both comfort and functionality. Additionally, creating a seamless connection between the residential space and the farm was essential to maintaining a sense of unity.
Another key consideration was construction simplicity—ensuring that the design could be realistically executed without compromising its conceptual strength. Balancing these factors was crucial in bringing the vision of the project to life.
A key structural challenge was designing a load-bearing roof system capable of spanning a large area while maintaining an open, functional space beneath it. The farm's indoor climate control was another crucial factor, ensuring a comfortable environment suitable for the Golden Retrievers' health and growth.
To achieve this, perforated bricks with internal air gaps were selected to enhance natural ventilation, while thermal insulation was incorporated to regulate temperature and humidity levels. These strategies help maintain optimal indoor conditions, aligning with the high breeding standards of Golden Future Farm.
The positioning and orientation of the building were carefully determined to respond to sunlight conditions and the specific needs of each space. The residential area was designed to maximize shade, ensuring a comfortable environment for daily activities throughout the day. In contrast, the rear section of the farm, which houses the Golden Retrievers, was intentionally exposed to sunlight to support natural disinfection and hygiene maintenance.
Additionally, dedicated cleaning zones were strategically placed to accommodate frequent washdowns, ensuring a sanitary environment for the dogs. These areas seamlessly connect to the surrounding garden, allowing for a smooth transition to outdoor activities.
