The resort is an experimnet of harmoniously blending the greek landscape and culture. The plot of 20 acres is situated at a very privileged site, with rich natural vegetation and great sea view.
314 Architecture Studio was first inspired conceptually by the healing and entertaining aspects of the Sanctuary of Asklepios at Epidaurus, as well as morphologically by the ancient greek theatre typology.
The project is characterized by a unique, but at the same time quiet design identity, in order to match the main goal of the resort, to be an ideal place for relaxation and wellness, fully adapted to the natural environment. Privacy is ensured by designing independent residences separated by gardens, that overall give the impression of being part of the natural landscape. Each level follows the natural inclination and consists of a continuous roof - pergola. The repetition of this typology results in a "stair-like" effect, resembling the ancient greek theatre steps (diazoma).
However, contrary to the strict curve of the ancient theatre, 314 re-imagines the curved guide as an abstract and fluid line. This twist offers a more natural aesthetic to the resort, and simultaneously provides interesting sea views. Mirror elements separate each residence's space and reflect the rich vegetation and the linear pools.
The fluidity of the composition along with the multiple reflections of green and blue succeed in creating a secluded, peaceful, and naturally lit environment, that amplifies the connection between the visitors and nature.
