Located in a fenced neighborhood in the city of Guadalajara, this is a project that satisfies a specific
array of requirements and strict rules within the neighborhood that limited the possibilities to act
within the property.
The importance of keeping the original topography results in a two-level project: the first level is
developed below the street level, and staggers along with the terrain, gaining height and presence
as it approaches the back end of the house, being delimited with a natural canyon wall at the south-
east end of the project.
The composition of the house contrasts when using a cover made of steel beams and a concrete
wall with hardwood cover in the main front side, that interposes the sun with a large window that
gives place to an exterior patio for one of the bedrooms.
The interior is highlighted with the use of white-colored brick as the main material, and the evident
dome-structure that generates a concrete pergola. The importance of creating spaces that are
always related to the exterior is perceived from the main access, with an encircled interior patio that
unifies the access area with the main stairway.
