Designed to capture the breathtaking views, this modern, mountain estate perched above Glenwild Golf Course blends effortlessly into its natural surroundings.
Custom-designed by the local design-build firm Jaffa Group with Jon Turkula as lead Architect/Designer on the home. Scott Jaffa, Principal Architect/CEO explained the vision behind this exclusive home. “We designed and sited the home so every room either had a golf course, Uinta view or a ski-mountain view. In the master bedroom and great room, you see all of those views.”
Utilizing the slope of the terrain, the garage is uniquely located on the top level of the home along with the master suite and most bedrooms. An elevator greets the entrance off the garage for easy access to the lower level.
To capitalize on the stunning views, four decks sprawl out of four separate living areas including the office, playroom, master suite and, of course, the largest one being the dining and living area.
Clean lines emanate throughout the home combined with generous pops of color. Bold tile selections can be found in the bathrooms as well as the blue tile accentuating the Miele range and hood. To capture the passion of one of the son’s love for comics, a few familiar graphics make a cameo appearance among the subway tile in his shower.
The large, sleek kitchen comprises custom-made cabinetry by Peppertree Kitchen and Bath. Keeping a minimalistic approach, recessed hand pulls eliminate any visible hardware on all of the cabinets. A waterfall edge showcases the island handcrafted with a handsome Neolith surface. “The aluminum strip of cabinet doors canvassing the top of the hood is a stunning feature,” explained Steve Norr of Peppertree. The matte white finish on the kitchen will aid in keeping with the crisp lines throughout the home. Spilling into the hidden butler’s pantry, white and glass cabinetry align the walls.
Entertaining will be a delight as the open feel easily transitions into the next room. Along with four fireplaces, including one on the patio, room for entertaining thrives. The metal and glass floating staircase is a prominent feature located in the center of the home. No view is compromised coming down each step as the incredible floor-to-ceiling window commands anyone’s attention.
The elevations are one of the most impressive features of this home. Varying from
board-formed concrete, vertical-grain cedar siding, standing seam metal panels all interspersed with the exposed structure steel, the exterior is one of the most brilliant features that undoubtedly piques the interest of anyone driving by this estate.
