Glass Poolhouse
As part of an extensive remodel of an existing house, a pool was added with a poolhouse. The client required that the architecture not obstruct the greenery, so we designed the accessory massings as garden walls to match the cedar fences and made the bedroom float as a zinc box over the pool effortlessly supported by glass and steel. Water flows out of the glass foundation to enhance the effect. A steel cage goes 2 1/2 up to display art and is wrapped in structural glass channels fiber optic lit. The second story floors at the steel cage are also glass to separate the garden wall stair from the zinc box.
