Nestled in the bustling urbanscape of Jaipur, the farmhouse stands as a tranquil oasis, offering a harmonious blend of urban convenience and rural serenity. The project aims to redefine an individual’s lifestyle, providing a haven of respite amidst the city's vibrancy. The client envisioned an outhouse as a relaxing retreat and a space for hosting parties. They embarked on a journey with the visionary Ar. Rajkumar Kumawat to turn their dream into reality.
Ar. Rajkumar embodied a unique and contemporary approach to design, catering to the client’s desire for a multifunctional space with a distinctive character. Embracing a modern theme, the layout deviates from standard zoning, avoiding the typical house layout. With the undulating contours on the site, the team created a sense of visual hierarchy in zoning spaces, which resulted in an outstanding design. He thought of an L-shaped building that offered panoramic views from every vantage point. This also allowed the creation of segregated spaces for partying, ensuring not every area needs to be opened during gatherings.
The zoning of the farmhouse leads to three individual blocks, yet all connected internally. As one steps in, they are welcomed into the living area, which evokes a contemporary and relaxing comfort. The room revolves around serene beige and earthy tones, incorporating patterns that enhance visual interest. At the heart of the room lies a seating area, serving as a perfect place for intimate family time. The sofas made of cane and plush green upholstery add to the minimal theme and earthy aesthetic. Adorned with HDF and beige fabric in a captivating pattern on the walls, the living room design deviates from a typical layout to a more functional space. Additionally, the room also offers panoramic views of the pool, creating a serene atmosphere in the space. Enhancing the property's versatile zoning, the kitchen is attached to the living room and is strategically located to cater to all areas.
Stepping into the haven of comfort, the property houses two private bedrooms, each with different themes boasting calm and relaxation. The first bedroom exudes a sense of tranquillity at its heart with an artfully designed canopy bed. With plush bedding and brass finish, the room beckons one to unwind and savour the serenity in the greens. The bed back includes fabric panelling and windows on both sides, reflecting a sense of symmetry in the design. A huge glass window offers a view of the lush greenery, allowing one to connect with nature and experience it. On the contrary, the second bedroom aligns with the earthy aesthetic of the farmhouse with wooden flooring and cane furniture. The walls are adorned with artistic paintings and fabric panels that add depth and character to the room. Both bedrooms serve as an example of extraordinary design, avoiding the typical outline of the house.
Within the farmhouse, the pool area acts as a crown jewel, harmoniously blending with the breathtaking landscape, creating an atmosphere of unparalleled serenity and pristine natural splendour. The sparkling pool, enveloped by lush greenery, offers a serene retreat from the everyday hustle and bustle. Additionally, well-manicured gardens adorned with vibrant flowers create a colourful backdrop, invoking a sense of serenity and charm. The pool area includes a deck adorned with natural stones and a cosy seating area, creating a tranquil oasis for the occupants to enjoy the panoramic sunsets or joyful gatherings.
At night, the gentle glow of strategically placed lighting transforms the farmhouse into a magical oasis. With a minimalistic approach, the exteriors are included with focus lights and wall scones that elevate the design to new heights of elegance. Warm yellow lights infused in the pool and landscaping accentuate desired focal points.
