The Aquatics Center is the latest project at Camp Prairie Schooner, a growing oasis for the Girl Scouts of Northeast Kansas and Northwest Missouri. Sharing the architectural language set by the previous facilities on site, the Aquatics Center also brings in new elements of customization. Bespoke storage cubbies, coordinating benches, and thoughtfully designed support spaces physically engage Girl Scouts of all ages and abilities in a way that emphasizes choice and accessibility. Other new elements of the project include an expansion to the existing pool with zero entry, a boulder climbing wall and diving rock, an accessible splash pad, new lockers and restrooms, as well as kayak and canoe storage facilities.
