The intimate immensity of growing in understanding requires both fellowship and furlough. We discover knowledge through interaction (in peer groups, classrooms, etc...) and through introspection (retreating into our vast inverse to recollect and peruse our experiences). The architectural answer to places that underpins the nature of education is a Space of Participation. Here, conversations can be had, discourse is refined, and discovery abounds. In the realm of public secondary education, the dialogue between teaching and learning expands when punctuated by personal discovery. For the student, discovery offers the owners of understanding; and for the teacher, lends the necessary pause in impartation that allows for validation of their aims. The G.H.S Collaboratory is envisioned as a participation space informed by the GBOE goal and program fluencies.
