This addition and renovation to the existing 1996 museum building results in a new 82,400-square-foot facility. Gluckman Mayner's design consists of four main points of intervention: Addition of a new gallery wing to the south; Addition of a new glazed connector, linking the existing building and the new wing, overlooking a new sculpture garden in the exterior space captured by the new wing; Expansion of the existing building to the north, greatly increasing art storage, back-of-house and office space; and Internal renovation of most spaces, galleries and HVAC systems in the existing building. Stanley Beaman & Sears served as Architect-of-Record for this project.
