56m² Apartment: An Aesthetic and Functional Space for a Young Couple
When people think of apartments in social housing projects, they often focus on functionality, rarely daring to dream of aesthetics or artistry in the living space. However, with this young couple’s 56m² apartment, we aimed to make a difference—thus, the Gentleman Suite was born.
We, the design team at Archiro Vietnam, together with the young couple, sought to create a space that is not only fully functional but also genuinely beautiful, where each day brings comfort and pride. Inspired by the elegance of luxury European hotel suites but with a modern, refined twist, this apartment truly embodies a dream living space.
Despite the small area, we didn’t let that limit our creativity. The living room and kitchen flow together, creating a sense of spaciousness and openness. A standout feature is the master bedroom, which can be separated from the main living area with a sliding partition. With a simple pull, the partition slides into the wall, instantly expanding the space. When privacy is needed, simply close the partition—convenient and versatile.
The couple wanted a home that was not only beautiful but also ready for the future. We included a dedicated space for a nursery. Although the area is small, by using built-in cabinets and clever storage solutions, the apartment remains organized and spacious.
Another delightful aspect is how we used small details to "trick" the perception of space. For instance, a large round mirror above the bed adds a striking touch and enhances the sense of roominess. Natural light floods in through the large windows, and soft curves in the interior design create a warm, gentle ambiance.
The homeowners desired more than just a place to live; they appreciate beauty and wanted every corner of their home to tell its own story. Each space in the apartment has been meticulously crafted, from a cozy chair by the window to the carefully chosen decorative details. This design is not just about living—it’s about experiencing, something both partners are thrilled with.
