It is a house located in a residential area where countryside landscape still remains in Japan.
Viewing from one side the building, a slanted pure white mass appears from the ground, which resembles a piece of white gemstone erecting on site. The idea comes from the first impression meeting the pure-minded client for the first time.
For the building, the treatment of façade is different. While the window facing north is tiny and closed, the windows facing south are relatively enormous, expandable and numerous.
Large roof of the building becomes a canopy to block the summer high-altitude sunlight. Likewise, the building mass embraces and protect the family as a active heart.
Inside the house, it has designed for two households in one big family, but with the idea to not divide them, rather than to connect them spatially through the central void.
It is a space that the views outside your window are stunning. It makes the designer delighted thinking about this experience could happen.
