A home for an architect, a chef and their blended family... A 2100 s.f. single family home located in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, with 750 s.f. detached garage on an in-town 0.17 acre flat lot with street and alley access providing for a courtyard in between. The exteriors juxtapose warm, charred wood facade of simple angled bays with panoramic view windows played against a skin of sculptured TWICC fiberglass panels, evoking velvety drifting snow, and a detailed entry cube. The interiors are organized by north-south transparency of living spaces flanked by solid volumes containing circulations/support spaces on the sides adjacent to neighbors. A compact open floor plan experiments with domestic spaces that evolve as a family transforms: main level kitchen/living for embracing the active life of family and friends; upper level loft-like retreat for lounging, sleeping and taking in powerful views; basement of private compact daylight bedrooms.
