The offices are located on an important thoroughfare south of Mexico
City running through one of the best-known traditional residential areas, San
Angel.
However, the avenue?s urban context is quite deteriorated since the urban
strip is gray and unattractive to the passerby. Thus, we choose to create a
point of identification that would attract attention through its colorfulness
and would awaken uncertainty. Two
large windowless plates, one being on a larger scale to show access, were
designed.
The facade, through simple treatment, attempts to maintain an urban
scale and uses a downcast color in which the street?s gray color seems to
invade the architecture.
The entrance is a double height space illuminated via a colored circular
dome.This space also functions as
a reception area leading to all of the work spaces seemingly leaving street
noise behind.
The offices have been undergoing remodeling and transformation according
to need without sacrificing the concept.
The use of inside patios, gardens and the continuous color allusion
emphasize a dynamic and tranquil work atmosphere.
