The complex, originally built by the Italian State Railways between 1984 and 1994 and then sold in 2004, underwent a toal and sophisticated requalification process, becoming today on of the iconic buildings in the new Milan skyline.
A total remake from façades to interiors, an innovative project for Milan, being the first towers designed according to environmentally sustainable criteria. A number of sustainable technologies have been put on use to cut dramatically the emissions: photovoltaic and solar panels, natural ventilation, thermal-insulated façades, bioclimatic glasshouses at every floor.
The facade design, made of inclined interactive glass cells, is inspired by a jewel, the symbol of Milan and its style, giving dynamism and movement to the whole area.
