Located in the Meatpacking District between Hudsonand Washington Streets, 60 Gansevoort is a high-endretail destination. Gansevoort Street acts as transitionfrom the retail district to the High Line Park.Comprised of men’s and women’s sportswear and accessories,60 Gansveoort features an espresso bar androoftop lounge.The building was designed with a strong considerationof three elements: the envelope, the interior architectureand display. Working with the views of the HighLine, a radial grid was developed and manipulated, dictatingthe placement of interior walls and skylights. Intransit from the park to the neighborhood and back, theviews adapt allowing pedestrians to take in the storefrontfrom a number radial vantage points.The understated palette, consisting of concrete, blackenedsteel, Japanese oak and weathered brick, allowsthe products to remain front and center.
