The design process for the new factory building of Galsan Plastic, to be realized in the Dilovası Machinery Organized Industrial Zone, has been undertaken by Iglo Architects, which has attracted attention for its national and industrial achievements in terms of industrial structures.
An automotive company with a deep-rooted, 45-year history in the plastic injection field, the new factory of Galsan Plastic, to be built on an area of 19,500 square meters in the Dilovası Machinery Organized Industrial Zone, will be realized by Iglo Architects, one of the most efficient architecture and design offices.
With production plants, a management center, an office, social areas and plant rooms designed alongside one another, the design process for the Galsan Plastic Factory is being carried out by Iglo Architects, which is run by partners Architect Zafer Karoğlu and Architect Esen Akyar. The factory will sit on an indoor area of 20,000 square meters, and with two large, single-story halls and two-story storage areas, it is expected to double the current production capacity. The use of recyclable materials are prioritized in the building, which has been designed based on criteria such as the efficient use of daylight throughout the entire building, thereby saving energy, decreasing costs, and utilizing resources with optimal efficiency. In addition to the utilization of solar energy in the building, it is also intended to store rain and gray water for subsequent use. In addition to spacious and luminous working areas, rest areas for use by personnel, including open terraces and floor gardens, have been given priority.
It is hoped to employ 300 people at the Galsan Plastic Factory, which is being realized by Iglo Architects and where earthworks began as of 2022.
