A restaurant created in the traditional Italian style, where the family is the foundation of all. The reminds the Italian economic boom period (“il miracolo economico”) and as a symbol, it has the image of the black rooster, thus the Italian name “Gallo Nero”.
The dominant piece of the space is the bar, which connects the three different areas of the restaurant. The bar is the heart and the center of the action, and as an Italian tradition, the owner itself will be there to welcome you.
The layout of the dining tables is very flexible, although there are tables of 4 or 6, you can easily group them to have a family table of 10 or 20.
The finishes are natural and high quality, in relation with the costumer’s expectations, who is looking for a cozy place for a family gathering. The natural wood and the marble dominate the style of the space.
The lighting is designed to create different types of scenarios, from a romantic mood to a party night.
At the entrance there is an area where the products are displayed, then you’ll walk into a terrace which is an extension of the restaurant, and it’s functional all year.
In the summer, the main space and the terrace are connected by opening the large harmonic windows creating one single space. Also the roof and the walls of the terrace are retractable to have a better relation with the outdoor. Being located on a major street in Bucharest, the lighting has the double role to attract more possible clients.
In the back of the restaurant there’s the pizza and focaccia oven. Their incredible smell, who subtle dominates the space, makes you book the last table in the back right near the oven and the winery.
You’ll find the “Gallo Nero” logo in a personalized wallpaper, covering most of the walls. It’s also used as a mark on the bar, so you can see it when you enter the space.
Also the plants find their place near the stained glass and in the center of the space, filling the atmosphere.
A line of candles follows the upper contour line of the space in order to keep a warm and nobility feel, especially by night.
