I did this project in my 4th year of college. The competition that I lost (Secil Prize) wanted to reward the best academic work done in Portugal in the directly preceding year. Unfortunately, there were thousands of proposals and my project was only among the finalists.
The project consists of a library for an undefined zone in Gaia, Portugal. The project's objective was to grab all the terrain varied and noisy conditions, and frame the project as part of it and not like anything you put on top. The pre-existing wall was prolonged, maintaining a real relationship between the building and the place creating a closed side, facing the road, and a side in relation with the outside, facing the garden.
Why I deserve a second chance? Because I feel that the project has potential.
