A multifunctional complex with total area of 1500 sqm is located between Anapa and Novorossiysk, in the sunniest place of Russia, just 5 kilometers from the seaside. Not just wine manufacture can be found in that place as multifunctional complex combines museum, educational center, hotel and various entertainment activities at the same time. It is a modern cultural center which implements public center, cafe, a view point platform and a small hotel.
Anapa is the place where the wineries of VI's century were detected within series of archeological researches. Found by Greek mariners, this city made huge trade with neighbors and wine has always been the main good.
The winery stands on the way from Novorossiysk to Anapa. The terrain is flat there, and the building, which resembles a lighthouse, is very noticeable: with all its appearance it calls to stop and go inside. Gay-Codzor wine can be found in any restaurant in the area, and this is one of the features which attracts visitors. So we as the architects decided to put a garden of rare plants in the center of the winery — an oasis in the middle the hilly relief.
The light, translucent, light-permeated winery building stands on a hill. It is clearly visible from the road, but the building does not kill the complex and remarkable terrain. On the contrary, the winery accentuates the landscape, blending seamlessly into its surroundings.
