Located in Osoyoos, in the arid, southern Okanagan of British Columbia, this collection of townhomes needed to adhere to strict planning design guidelines that evoke a combination of Spanish and southwestern desert architecture. Our goal was to work within these parameters (misplaced, in our opinion) and to infuse a modern regionalism and a sense of community within the development.
The exterior features open rail, 'up and down' staircases (a nod to the significant Quebec connection) and wood sunscreens and balconies to define the individual homes. Each home has a rooftop terrace with sweeping views of Lake Osoyoos and the surrounding landscape.
