Architect Designer: Louise Hill

The Fugal Farm is a new family farm with the intention of becoming a legacy for future generations of the Fugal family. Located in Pleasant Grove on a narrow 3 acre lot, this site presented a challenge for locating all the program requirements of the barn. By pulling the garage to the North, placing the three glass greenhouses to the north and creating a drive through the center of the barn, we created a protected and active barnyard space to support future family gatherings as well as daily farm activity. The simple agrarian form and raw material of the main structure reflect the simplicity of function and the character of the family who inhabit this place.
