Situated in the core area of Suzhou Industrial Park, the FriendTimes Headquarters R&D Building's central focus lies in exploring how to create a "highly engaging and playful" headquarters space within the context of Suzhou's local culture. Comprising a tower and a podium, the building's functions include open-plan offices, creative exchange areas, dining facilities, and fitness centers, forming a composite and interactive ecosystem for daily work.

The design proposes a spatial logic of a "landscape vertical axis," drawing inspiration from the layered relationships of Chinese landscape painting—"accessible for strolling, observable for viewing, habitable for residing, and enjoyable for wandering"—to create a vertical spatial narrative of "three stacks and two segments. " Cylindrical public function installations are embedded on different floors, forming social venues such as a game museum, art exhibition halls, a library reading area, and interactive platforms. This blurs the boundaries between office and exhibition, creation and leisure, providing employees and visitors with a multi-dimensional and immersive experience.

The "social cell" design of the building's west facade is a vivid display of the building's urban expression, allowing it to grow outward, forming a dynamic facade feature. Colored aluminum panels and the rhythmic lighting effects at night endow the building with a sense of life and technology, making it a breathing building with modern urban landscape qualities. The structural system employs a steel frame with a central support and prefabricated construction, ensuring spatial flexibility while shortening the construction period.

Ultimately, the project integrates unique spatial installations into a rigorous design framework, achieving a balance between logic and imagination. It not only serves daily work but also shapes a warm and vibrant urban cultural landmark. This makes the building a vessel for the enterprise's spirit and a paradigmatic expression of "culture as place" in the context of contemporary urbanism.
