Reminiscing about the French art, architecture and lifestyle they experienced on many trips to Europe inspired the owners to recreate an interior, exterior and landscape within their own home.
A U-shaped plan provided a chance to design a courtyard home that brought the European lifestyle to Atlanta, creating a flow between the indoor and the outdoor of the property.
The owners especially aspired a home perfect for entertaining: double doors open up into the garden and courtyard and the spacious wine cellar, as well as a cozy living room with fire place and chandelier allow for different events to take place in their French style residence.
Pak Heydt & Associates chose antique, reclaimed materials from France to create unique details. The use of boiserie panels, iron work, limestone details along with authentic French windows and doors made this property a period home.
Great attention was paid to the scale and proportion in this property which has the master bedroom located on the main floor and three more bedrooms on the second floor.
