Freedom Monument

Firm
Designed as an urban object in the shape of a Christian cross, this project aims to commemorate the anticommunist protests from April 7, 2009. Due to its location in front of the main entrance of the parliament building, this monument becomes a filter. Because lawmakers will pass daily through this object, the  project aims to relive that moments, the idea of fear being expressed by the massive elements and coldness of the material. Each year on April 7 all 12 items will reflect sunlight, symbolizing 12 lit up candles .
