A very challenging restoration project, which took place within the framework of the Nordhausen Garden Show, involved the extension and makeover of the Frauenberg
Church, which was almost completely destroyed in the Second World War.
The project was completed under very tight scheduling. The coordination of construction with archaeologists, historical preservationists and landscape architects placed high demands on our project management team.
In order to increase lucency, the passage between the longitudinal and transverse nave was opened. This connects inner and outer space. The nave was interpreted in a modest style, as a new steel construction. The white awnings serve as media and projection space at events.
