This is an addition / remodel / restoration of a historical residence in the town of Franklin, Tennessee. The project went through rigorous scrutiny by the Preservation Planning Commission in Franklin and had to comply with Historic Overlay Zoning laws which make you check your design ego at the door. We removed bay windows on the front of the house to take it back to its modest roots, made sensitive additions to the back of the house and finished it off with period historic details and paint colors. Each side of the house has an intentional "notch" that distinguishes where the new additions are located.
