Framing Views is a precise addition and renovation within a wooded Gladwyne site, where architecture and landscape are conceived as one continuous field. The project includes the addition of a pool house, along with targeted renovations to the home’s entry sequence at both the street and building thresholds, as well as to the kitchen and outdoor living spaces. The low, horizontal pool house frames light and view while minimizing visual impact. A restrained palette and expressed detailing unify old and new, advancing a quiet yet rigorous contemporary intervention within a traditional context.
