In this project, the main challenge was visibility and privacy while providing adequate lighting for the spaces. Due to urban laws, the project land is in contact with the city only in one direction. To solve this problem for communication between outside and inside. We think to consider frame as space. Often each window has a frame. This frame is an opportunity to communicate between in and out. In this project, using a volumetric composition of frames between outside and inside was defined as a livable space.
By creating this in-between space, each apartment has its own semi-open space through which it is connected to the outside view and light. This in-between space is a terrace that has established light and vision control and produces several spatial scenarios. A Part of the terrace is designed to create privacy and more control for the presence of light in the space to create light in different compositions with shadows and provide privacy from the outside behind perforated windows.
Due to cultural issues and creating more peace, private spaces were located at the far end of the project land. And more public spaces were located near the outer facade. to receive more light, the interior spaces were organized in such a way as to create maximum light penetration inside the building.
In the lobby, when entering, an attempt has been made to use a creative combination of bricks and mirrors so that while increasing the incoming light, there is an extension of the outer façade inside.
Frames have been tried in several ways in this project. Frames that are found beyond them, frames that show in front of them, and frames that only emphasize their content. All three focus on creating some kind of focus, and that is a moment in life.
In this project, the concept of the frame acts as an intermediate space between inside and outside and produces different life scenarios. This type of frame composition can also be seen in the facade. Finally, it can be said that the presence of various types of frames in material and light can produce different types of experience in this project.
