Fragrant hill Pavillion
Work in progress, 2012 -
The project site in a yard that is located at
the foot of fragrant hill, Beijing.
Half of yard is sunken underground. The pavilion project is a part of renovation
plan of the primary yard.
Occupying the corner
of yard, the new structure utilized existing brick parapet and concrete ground,
creates new totally flexible spaces for galleries, exhibitions and performances.
Its form derived from marine organism, shows accurate fluidity; hidden beneath
the horizon, smart and sharp, brings new vitality into the site; becomes a
latent landmark.
