The Pampulha lagoon in Belo Horizonteis full of architectural significanceand to build on its margins meansto be close to the modernist legacy. The building considers that recent historybut also expresses its modern urban spiritwith rural balconies and breezes. The land slope dialogues with the buildingand proposes fittings and suspensions. The house contains two times:The fluctuation of the front volumeshows the intimate side of the residencepointing the future at the edge of water;the covering of the open area in the back, where parties burn the wood at the oven,is close to the ground and timeless memories. In a sequence of steps and floorsthe house fits the site making a routefrom the street to the roof, turned into observatorytransforming the tops in terraceslooking for the horizons seen at the topographic citywith it?s struggles and mutant cultureand its mountains with their fragile eternity.architectonic team: João Diniz architect, author/coordinatorarchitects colaborators: José Luis Baccarini, Pedro Guadalupe, João Pedro Torres, Isabel Diniz, Caio Guerra, Clarissa Bastos, Elena Vale, Monica Ogura, Priscila Garcia.photography: Leonardo Finotti construction: Construtora Geraes / José Maurício Menezesstructural engeneers for concrete structure: Marcello Cláudio and Sigefredo Fiuzainstallation projects: Senog Ltdalightining design: Abajur de Arte / Adriana Vasconceloslandscape design: Mercado Verde / Firmino Fiuzaplayground design: Suzana Cadavaltile artistic pannel: Fernando Pachecoother artists: Jorge dos Anjos, Jayme Reis, Monica Sartori
