The customers wanted home with ample living space, on a steeply sloped site.
Several options were presented that addressed outdoor living and an open-plan.
Good landscaping nestled the house into the side of the hill while providing outdoor living space on the terraced hill. The open plan accommodated the owner’s lifestyle while tying all the public living spaces on the main level together. The secondary bedrooms located above and a game room and theatre in the level below. The materials—rough stone and stucco—and colors accentuated the hilly terrain and reflected the region in which the home is built. This project was completed while at SBA.
