Over the next five years, Crystal Mountain Resort plans to invest $100 million in infrastructure and service advancements, starting summer 2022 with a redevelopment of the base area. This initiative required a masterplan , to not only improve their existing operations, but provide an All-Season Resort destination for its guests that focuses on more access and more space for everyone. The plan includes the design and planning of a new Food and Beverage Building, mountain-summit Restaurant, New Hotel, and renovation of the existing Cascade Lodge.
As part of the first phase of this initiative, the Food Services Building or Mountain Commons, as it is formally called, will boast around 20k square feet of space dedicated for the consumption of guests, including a full-service cafe, retail and two separate restaurants. Each with its own themed menu, private event space and outdoor seating. The open-concept space will optimize the arrival experience from grabbing tickets to a cup of coffee in the morning, as well as offering increased capacity for everything from restrooms to retail. The project will also provide visitors with new dining choices making it easier to find seats at lunchtime, offer expansive beach-front outdoor seating to take in the up-valley views and create a welcoming gathering space for everyone.
