It is a project born from formal research and experimentation; inspired by a workshop followed a couple of years ago on Form-Finding by using of new software available.
The challenge I set myself is to provide a self-supporting roof that would allow a great freedom of composition inside and it was at the same time a strong sign for the context in which it is inserted.
The cover is a surface that opens and buckles, as if to detach from the ground and, at the same time, leans on it on three points; while a closed volume which is entrance and bathroom on the ground floor and bedroom on the upper level is the fourth and final constraint that traps the structure to the ground.
Kitchen and living room becomes the setting from which to admire the exterior and the natural context in which it fits, favoring the use of large windows.
