Master of Architecture graduation project. Aims to activate the neighborhood economy through the creation of a bazaar and small scale urban interventions in the urban landscape. Rosengård is a modernist neighborhood in Malmö, first built under the Million Programme which aimed to build 1.000.000 in the late 1960's. After a brief stint as a leading example in social architecture, this 23.000-inhabitant residential area quickly became known for its social and economic problems, as well as its characteristic ethnic make up (over 90% of the residents were are foreigners or first-generation Swedes).Flying Kites in the Ghetto is a project about giving people the tools to work and make the decisions in their own lives.
