This well-known NJ brewery had been producing award winning beer in Cherry Hill, NJ for many years and had out grown its facilities. The company found a new home in Somerdale, NJ in the former record production building of Motown Records. After the initial start up of the brewery, the Owner tasked Moto Designshop with economically transforming the old industrial structure into a home to showcase their identity.
The multi-phase project included a reimagining of the exterior façades, interior planning and a new tasting room. The exterior is clad in cost efficient corrugated panels and painted with large graphics which depict brewing ingredients while a Flying Fish logo sets overhead in a large yellow sun. Custom perforated panels create a visual fade around the suns edge while at the southern façade. Inside, the tasting room is set up to be a flexible space, able to host not only the thirsty beer aficionado on a brewery tour, but also a large corporate event.
