This low-budget project is a social housing complex in Graz that sets out to achieve maximum living quality and creative expression with a minimum of resources by applying a systematic building organization. A flexible floor plan and the ability to add or subtract additional spaces enables a variety of different apartment typologies. This ensures creative diversity and a correspondingly interesting exterior despite the systematically optimized structure of the building. The clear design of the building and the simplicity of the volumes allow an extremely modular system that offers a high degree of individuality and diversity through the combination and subtraction or addition of spaces. With this system, 40 different floor plan types can be generated, providing great flexibility in the planning phase.
