FH House sits on the plot of the housing unit demolished by firefighters after the earthquake in Emilia.
It’s located along the road that links the small town of San Possidonio to Carpi, in a fast-growing area due to a number of reconstructions after the quake.
Renewing the local residential archetype, the re-design of the new building follows the idea of the justaposition of enclosed environments into a single shape surrounded by a portico on the west and south sides which provides protection and an osmotic filter between internal and external space.
FH House accommodates a living room, an eat-in kitchen with pantry, a laundr / plant-room,three bedrooms and a portico.
Plan variations create various external spaces so that every room has got its own view; in addition to the portico facing the living room and the kitchen, two “intimate” loggias featuring garden spaces have been created on the east and west sides where the residents can chill and relax enjoying the calm and privacy of this space.
