This four building complex in Fire Island Pines—a
seasonal resort town located on  the north
coast of Long Island—uses a mixed-use community center as a catalyst for the
revitalization of the town’s commercial center. Constructed around the adaptive
reuse of existing structures KKA linked the separate buildings (a restaurant,
café, hotel and nightclub), with a exterior recreational space, integrating
them into the landscape.
