A traditional Fifth Avenue apartment overlooking Central Park became a thoroughly modern bachelor pad for a single banker. Formerly two separate apartments, the combined unit has ample space for formal entertaining as well as relaxing in private. The interiors combine both classical and modern elements: traditional moldings and coffered ceilings executed with clean lines. Hiding a large plasma TV screen behind folding doors of antiqued mirror glass allows modern technology to coexist comfortably with the classical decor. Removing the wall of a small gallery kitchen opened up the space and created an inviting casual dining area for relaxed cooking and entertaining.
