Some people are detached from their roots. But at certain points of their lives they feel the urge to return to the point it all started. The BANGLA word ‘FERA’ means ‘to return’. It’s the journey to return within: a place of belonging.
The story of the house is about the reunion of a mother with her children to fulfill a dream that their father started. She wanted to live with her sons under the same roof as a family and preserve the memories of her husband as well.
Thus, the whole design was focused to portray the relationship between the family members. The house is a combination of revisiting traditions, uniting with memories and being involved with everyone in a shared joy of family living. The rooftop extended plate represents the datum as the father holds his child. Extensive use of straight lines in interior elements represents the simplicity of their lifestyle.
