Flowing along the arid landscape of its hillside site, the Feigin Residence is an essay of movement and form. The soft line of the plan and sectional geometry organizes functional relationships with a sequence of courtyards and gardens. The materiality grounds the house in the landscape; weathered steel plate walls define the entire form and naturally ‘old penny’ patinated copper standing seam roof skins the exterior of the living pavilion. Inside, polished concrete floors, white Venetian plaster, and black plate steel walls complement planes of clear, frit, and translucent glass. Completed as will bruder architects ltd.
